Going out of the gate of Wanshi Lotus Temple, walking up the bamboo trail, and crossing Haihui Bridge, we will come to Terrace in Memory of Soldiers Killed in Penghu, a cultural relic protection unit related to Taiwan. It was erected by Lan Li, the Governor of Fujian, to commemorate soldiers killed in the battle between troops from the Qing Dynasty and Zheng Keshuang in Penghu. Originally, there was a Soldiers’ Pavilion inside the gate, but it was later destroyed and rebuilt on the right side in 1998.
