Pyrostegia venusta:Bignoniaceae, lianas, with 3-forked filiform tendrils. Leaflets ovate. Flowers orange-red, calyx campanulate, with glandular dots. Corolla thick, reversed, with conspicuous white tomentum, many closely arranged in a pendulous panicle. Uses: The orange-red flowers are in bunches and resemble firecrackers, hence the name in Chinese meaning cannonball flower. Planted in courtyards, fences and gates for vertical greening.
