Camellia Garden is located in the middle section of Suoyun Road, adjacent to Cycad Garden, covering an area of about 4 hectares, open to the public during the Spring Festival in 2018. At present, there are nearly 400 Camelliaceae species and cultivars that are cultivated in different zones, containing species or cultivars with high ornamental value, such as Camellia azalea, Camellia amplexicaulis, and Camellia petelotii. The best flower appreciation period is around the Spring Festival. Four-season Camellia can be enjoyed all the year round.
The garden is planted with Handroanthus chrysanthus, Ceiba speciosa, Erythrina variegata and other large flowering trees as associated tree species. The flowers continuously bloom throughout the year, which is unique and interesting. The hiking trail is winding, occasionally dotted with pavilions, accompanied by gurgling creeks, twittering of birds, and fragrance of flowers. Cuiyi Pavilion stands on the top of the mountain. Leaning against the railing, tourists may have a panoramic view of Egret Island Central District.
